P2P Workshops

Permission to Parent Workshops are participatory experiences in which P2P instructors teach the basics of good parenting and allow for questions, sharing of your parenting issues and group discussion as we seek to encourage parents to be the best they can be for their children.

How long are the workshops?

P2P Workshops are formated to be 3 - 4 hours in length in order to allow adequate time for discussion.

What’s the format?

P2P Workshops are a mixture of lecture-based teaching from a P2P-certified instructor and open discussion.

What can I expect to learn?

It’s is our hope that through your participation in a P2P Workshop, you’ll be encouraged and empowered to see the value in your parenting. It is our goal that you learn your strengths and weakness in parenting and leave with valuable tools to help you in all areas. Through sharing with other parents, learning for everyone else’s challenges and successes, we realize that we’re not alone in how we feel. It’s through this lens of a parenting community that we find encouragement and hope.

Is the Permission to Parent Workshop geared toward me as a single parent?

Of course! Parenting is parenting whether you’re married, single or in a blended family. We all hope to raise our children to be productive adults and the P2P Workshop is perfectly suited to help you achieve success regardless of your parenting situation.

Can I attend without my spouse?

While we encourage both spouses to attend P2P Workshops to get to most out of the material, we understand that work schedules cannot always be worked out. It is perfectly ok to come without your spouse; after visiting the workshop you can always direct your spouse to our website for further support and encouragement.
